• Purpose:  To initiate new members into the Catholic Church.
  
  Scope:  The rite of Christian Initiation of Adult(RCIA) is the process by which those who are interested in learning about the Catholic Faith, can attend sessions that help them learn about God and the Catholic Church.  If they discern that they would like to become memebers of the Catholic Church, this process can lead to full initiation into the Catholic Church.
